Polychaeta

Polychaeta are a class of annelid worms that generally live in the sea. The entire surface of the body polychaeta contain stiff hairs or setae yabg coated cuticle so slippery and stiff. Interesting colored body, such as reddish purple. Each body segment polychaeta equipped with a pair of swimming motion or tool called parapodia. This tool also acts as a respirator. Most of the measuring 5-10 cm, but there are less than 1 mm and some are up to 3 m.

Polychaeta segmented bodies - segments and each segment has parapodia and seta. This worm does not have a saddle (klitelum)

Polychaeta have separate sex and there is a hermaphrodite. Breeding is done by seksualdan asexual. Fertilization outside the body and do nothing in the body. Fertilized eggs grow into larvae called trakofora.
